2023.06.01 14:51 FinalPantasee Looking for digital ads manager experienced with furniture/cosmetics - contract to hire.

Our ad agency is looking for someone that can work contract to hire. We're quickly onboarding new clients, and myself, as the director of marketing and our other junior PPC manager, are stacked with full work weeks.
We're onboarding a new client this week in the furniture niche with a budget of a couple hundred thousand dollars per month across Facebook, Google, TikTok, and SnapChat - trust me, it'll make sense when you get your hands on the account. You don't need furniture experience, per se, but it'd probably be good to have. Overall hands-on knowledge of digital marketing, particularly with ecom experience across all those platforms, is the most important.
We're only hiring native English speakers, or at a native fluency level as you will be expected to write ad copy, reports, and speak professionally directly with the client on meetings. US-hours only. I don't particularly mind if you are nomading it up in Thailand, but we need people available during US business hours.
I would guess this would start at 10 - 20 hours per week until we onboard more clients and can make you full-time. I don't sign the paychecks, but I think we offer a very fair salary for being completely remote. I live in the midwest and make an LA-Director level salary as we are based out of California.
Shoot over a copy of your resume and hourly/monthly rate for what you're looking to make.

2023.06.01 14:51 awt1990 My Summer of Mccarthy

About two months ago I was given a copy of Blood Meridian by a girlfriend. Knowing that I hadn't read anything but nonfiction for about 2 years she figured it would help reignite my interest in literature.
Read it in about a month while working nightshift and absolute loved it. I followed that with The Road, not as good but good. Now I am about 50 pages into No Country for Old Men, and I am digging it.
So, I have declared the summer of 2023 to be my Summer of Mccarthy. Before The 1st of September I will finish another 3 Mccarthy novels (that's three after finishing NCFOM). Ideally, I will buy each copy used to add to the excitement of having to locate each book (yes, I'm a dork).
My question for the Sub, were should I go from here? I was thing Suttree next, then Outer dark, but I am open to suggestions.

2023.06.01 14:51 ElusiveKai Not worth the money still

I tried the service about a year ago. And for some reason, I notice the picture quality is actually lower now (I’m still in same location) my download is 1.2 GB upload is 75mb, and literally before I was actually impressed by the picture quality, so idk what the heck happened, I’ve tried every browser. And sad that there’s still no keyboard and mouse support natively from MS….sad given MS is a pc company first for the biggest OS.
So yeah I paid for a month, but can’t justify keeping the subscription when the quality seems to have dropped and they just won’t add a bitrate slider that people can just adjust to what their internet can handle. And still no K&B. Maybe a a couple years from now, they’ll make some forward progress again or maybe they’ll just wipe the whole service like google did. Can’t trust this big companies, especially with how slow their progress to improve the platform has been.

2023.06.01 14:50 mandybloom2 Room for rent in West Philly 3br - 7/1 - $450

There's a room opening up on July 1st in my rowhouse in West Philly. Close by Cedar Park, located near the 34 trolley line. The middle bedroom is opening up in July and rent is $450. Utilities have come out to around $100 per month per person recently. The house has central air and heat. Laundry in the basement. The basement is a good size would be good for storage or an art space or workshop space. Good front porch and small concrete slab back yard.
I've lived in the house almost five years. I'm a trans woman in my mid-thirties, working a 9-5 m-f job. I like to keep a clean house and occasionally have friends over for dinner and games and movie nights. Other roommate is in his mid-thirties, works very early, enjoys crafting and games. I like to be friendly with roommates but do our own things. I have a dog and a cat and would be down for another cat, but my dog is particular about other pups. I can have some pics available soon. Let me know if you have questions, send me a DM! Thanks!

2023.06.01 14:50 Mattara2012 What the deck?

I'm looking to get a new deck built, now that cost of lumber is starting to come down.
My biggest question is: Should I build it myself using YouTube and other knowledge or hire someone to do it?
If you think I should hire someone, do you have a company in mind that is affordable?
As it stands there are approximately 12 different companies that are close to my location, but let's be honest, who wants to call 12 different companies 😬
So I'm hoping to gain some insight and recommendations for this intimidating project
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance 😁

What goes up must come down... unless you have diamond hands. Some cracks are beginning to appear in the recent AI stock rally, with (AI) plunging 22% AH on Wednesday after giving a disappointing outlook during its FQ4 results. On an earnings call, CEO Tom Siebel added that the company wasn't "inclined to change expectations" surrounding its guidance, compared to the major boost that Nvidia's (NVDA) stock received following its "jaw-dropping guidance" posted last week.
Snapshot: Other AI players and chipmakers also pulled back yesterday following some impressive runups, but the latest movement might suggest that all companies are not equal when it comes to the "AI supercycle." Investors will have some deep learning to do after being consumed by everything AI this year, especially as they sort through the growing list of companies talking up how they've been AI plays all along. The real thing to consider is how much a firm will successfully capitalize and monetize its artificial intelligence offerings after the meme rallies settle down and huge price swings come to a halt.
"The euphoria is rooted in a very promising underlying technology," noted Robert Schein of Blanke Schein Wealth Management. "Even with the recent market euphoria driven by artificial intelligence, the market is sending a clear signal that artificial intelligence is here to stay, as this technology has the potential to overhaul how companies do business, which has major implications for corporate earnings."
Do your homework: As an example, the overwhelming majority of Wall Street experts believe that Nvidia (NVDA) remains a clear Buy. Seeking Alpha's Quant Ratings system views NVDA with a little more skepticism, labeling the stock as a Hold (valuation represents the key headwind, according to the system of grading quantitative measures). SA analysts have also been sizing up the stock in a series of recent articles. Fiscal Responsibility Act
The U.S. House last night easily passed the debt-ceiling relief deal as the Treasury heads toward a June 5 deadline, after which the government won't have ready funding to pay its bills. The measure now goes to a Senate also working under a tight timetable and preparing for weekend votes. A number of senators have already expressed the wish to amend the bill, meaning it could return to the House for more approval, but the process is expected to get over the finish line in time. With much of the drama in the rear-view mirror, investors have once again set their sights on central bank policymaking, with Fed officials like Patrick Harker and Philip Jefferson calling for a pause this month and assessing the need for future rate hikes thereafter. Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META) is threatening to pull news links from Facebook and Instagram in California if state lawmakers move forward with the "California Journalism Preservation Act." The company responded in a similar fashion after a related proposal was tabled in Congress in December, as well as in Canada, and briefly blocked news links in Australia before brokering a deal with the government there. Among the amendments was a clause stipulating that digital platforms and news groups would be required to mediate for two months before subjecting them to mandatory arbitration. Canberra also agreed to take into account existing commercial agreements and give digital platforms a month's notice before reaching any final decision on the law's application. Will the same happen again? (4 comments)
Doom and gloom update
While attention has been centered on the remote, but disastrous possibility, of the U.S. defaulting on its debt, investors may want to focus more on corporate bonds. Preparation is underway for a wave of defaults in the high-yield credit markets as the boom-and-bust cycle returns in 2023. Deutsche Bank issued its 25th annual Default Report and sees the default rate on U.S. junk debt spiking to a peak of 9% of issuance by the end of 2024 vs. 1.3% in 2022. See how that compares to other cycle highs like the dot-com crash and the Great Financial Crisis. (47 comments)

Highlights 1.02 g/t Au over 56.7m (GS2301)
1.29 g/t Au over 60.1m (GS2302)
1.43 g/t Au over 88.7m (GS2241)
VANCOUVER, BC , June 1, 2023 /CNW/ - Freegold Ventures Limited (TSX: FVL) (" Freegold " or the " Company "), is pleased to report more positive results from the Golden Summit Project. The drill program, which began in March, is ongoing with three rigs currently operating. Nine holes have been completed and submitted for assay in the area immediately to north of the Dolphin Zone where the mineralization remains open and is projecting to surface. Assays have been received for three of the nine holes submitted and are reported below.
The current program is designed to expand and infill the current mineral resource estimate (
February 2023
) which using a 0.45 g/ t Au cut off and a
gold price is 12.01 million ounces at 0.92 g/t Au (407,544,000 tonnes) (indicated) and 7.7 million ounces at 0.85 g/t (282,303,000 tonnes) (inferred).
In addition to ongoing drilling to the north, drilling will also test a significant gold in soil geochemical anomaly that extends 1.5 km to the west. The goal of this additional drilling is to potentially increase the current resource area beyond its current size of 1.3 km x 600 m 147.3m including 1.43 g/t over 88.7m The 2023 drill program initially focussed on the northern extension of the Dolphin/Cleary. Drilling over the coming months will see additional drilling to the west to follow up on the encouraging results received in GS2241 and to test the over 1.5km gold long gold in soil geochemical anomaly.
Holes GS2301 & GS2302 are some of the northern most holes drilled in the Dolphin Zone. GS2301 is a 400 metre step out to the north and intersected 56.7m of 1.02 g/t Au (Section 478800E). Hole GS2302 intersected 200.8 metres grading 0.81 g/t Au including 51.8 metres grading 1.04 g/t Au. GS2303 is 350 metre step out to the north and intersected 42.4m grading 0.65 g/t (Section 478900E).
Plan Maps and Sections:
Saddle Zone
Located four km east of the current resource area lies the Saddle Zone, which hosts the American Eagle historical underground producer. It produced 60,000 ounces at a grade of 1.6 oz/ton. Later this summer one rig will test the potential for broad zones of mineralization surrounding the high-grade veins. This is similar to the very successful approach taken in the Dolphin Cleary Area during the 2020 – 2022 program. Based on historical mapping, there are numerous gold occurrences with significant veining in the target area which represents significant potential for discovery. The Saddle Zone has a 2.5 km by 1.0 km target area that has not been systematically drill tested. This makes it an excellent target for possible additional resources.
Golden Summit has already demonstrated the potential to host significant resources. The 2023 resource update vaulted Golden Summit into one of the largest undeveloped gold resources in North America
A sample quality control/quality assurance program was implemented. Drill cores were cut in half using a diamond saw, with one-half placed in sealed bags for preparation and subsequent geochemical analysis by ALS Chemex. All assays were performed by ALS Global Ltd., with sample preparation conducted at the ALS facility in Fairbanks, Alaska , with subsequent studies conducted primarily using its Vancouver and Reno laboratories.
Core samples were prepared using the PREP-31BY package in ALS's facility. Each core sample is crushed to better than 70 % passing a 2 mm (Tyler 9 mesh, US Std. No.10) screen. A split of 1kg is taken and pulverized to better than 85 % passing a 75-micron (Tyler 200 mesh, US Std. No. 200) screen; a portion of this pulverized split is digested by Four Acid and analyzed via ICP-AES (method code ME-ICP61). Fire Assay analyzes all samples with an AAS finish, method code Au-AA23 (30g sample size) and over 10 g/t are automatically assayed using a FA Grav method, Au-GRAV21. Additional Au screening is performed using ALS's Au- SCR24 method; select samples are dry-screened to 100 microns. A duplicate 50g fire assay is conducted on the little fraction and an assay on the entire oversize fraction. Total Au content, individual assays, and weight fractions are reported. Analytical and assay procedures are conducted in ALS's North Vancouver and Reno facilities. A QA/QC program included laboratory and field standards inserted every ten samples. Blanks are inserted at the start of the submittal, and at least one blank every 25 standards, with additional blanks inserted following samples of visible gold.

Church sex abuse
I discovered Floodlit a few months ago and became a monthly donor. Many of you know about it already, but if you don’t check it out! They’re doing amazing work! 👏
Sorting sex abuse cases by church position (i.e., the Lord “calling” righteous men to help lead, guide, and comfort their flock) is eye opening, to say the least. Check out a screenshot of the bishop’s list showing only those whose surname begins with “B.” What the actual what?! Thank you, Floodlit.

2023.06.01 14:48 Extreme-Yam-8689 New HVAC system cost (May 2023)

I had some recent hail damage to my condenser unit. Insurance tried to give me $180 to fix it. HVAC tech came out and said there was no way the coil could be repaired, so long story short, insurance is giving me $8,000 to replace the condenser & evap coil inside. The rest is on me.
My furnace (Goodman) is 21 years old, so obviously this is tempting me to replace everything at once.
I've had a few quotes so far, and there are mainly differences in equipment. I'm in Denver, CO. Currently use a 3.5 ton Payne A/C & 80% Goodman. Live in a 2,200 sq. ft home (including finished basement). 1650 sq. ft without. Split level home so we fight with heat in the summer upstairs, but not a big issue.
Quote 1:
Evap Coil & Condenser Replacement only with a Carrier 16 SEER system - $10,500
Quote 2:
Goodman total replacement, 14 SEER & 80% - $9,200
Quote 3:
Lennox total replacement, 14 SEER & 80% - $9,750

I have one other quote scheduled today through Costco. I believe they use a local contractor as well & Lennox, but imagine the cost will be significantly higher than any of these.
Just looking for some advice. Thanks so much!

Is it a good idea to have the same name and end with the different postal codes in terms of local SEO ranking? e.g.: Physiotherapist XY 1140 Vienna Physiotherapist XY 1110 Vienna Physiotherapist XY 1030 Vienna
Or should I set up one name for all locations like "Physiotherapist XY"
One more question: do I hurt my clients SEO ranking if I start editing the business names in GBP?

2023.06.01 14:47 No_Friends47 Luxury Picnics: Taking Al Fresco Dining to the Next Level

Luxury Picnics: Taking Al Fresco Dining to the Next Level
Surely, after those colder months, everyone wishes to spend most of their time outside. Picnics are the best options for spending time outdoors and enjoying the start of summer.
A picnic is the best way to enjoy the beauty of nature, the company of your loved ones, and some delightful food. By adding a touch of luxury to your picnic, you can transform your outdoor feast into an extraordinary experience. This post has some luxury picnic ideas to take outdoor dining to the next level.

How do you make your picnic luxurious?

1. Selection of the right location
Select a cozy, comfortable, and pleasing place for your outdoor feast. Go for gardens, parks, or waterfront places with breathtaking views. Consider the ambiance you and your loved ones desire and ensure proper relaxation and comfort. You are on a picnic with your family or friends, so choosing the right location is important.
2. Set a scene with ambiance.
To set the tone for a luxurious picnic, paying attention to the ambiance is important. Elegant touches in the decoration, like fairy lights, lanterns, and flower arrangements, can make the entire setup look so sophisticated and classy. Bring along cozy blankets, plush pillows, and comfortable seating to create an inviting and luxurious environment for you and your guests. One of the major points of having a luxurious picnic is creating an elegant, pleasing, and eye-catching setup.
3. Opt for high-quality accessories.
Opting for high-quality picnic accessories enhances the practicality and the luxury of your outing. Opt for a stylish picnic basket, a premium-quality wooden tea coaster set, and a well-insulated bag to keep your food fresh. Also, go with fine-quality cutlery, which will increase your dining experience and enhance the overall setup of your outdoor activity. Make sure you bring along a chic picnic blanket and cloth to further elevate your dining experience.
4. Have gourmet delicacies
Upgrade your picnic menu with good food. Prepare good and delectable food that can be smelled from afar. Prepare sandwiches, fingers, rolls, fries, etc. Do not forget about the cheese platter, along with some nuts, crackers, nachos, and fruits. Go with some gourmet chocolates and drinks for refreshment.
I'm sure picnics are incomplete without bento cakes; ensure you don’t forget one. Do not hesitate to experiment with new and exotic-tasting foods to impress your guests. All this will surely make your dining experience outside quite luxurious.
5. Comfort along with entertainment
Ensuring that your guests are comfortable is a must. Also, taking care of their entertainment is so important. Bring along comfortable seating, portable chairs, and cozy blankets so that your guest stays relaxed throughout. Engage your guests with outdoor activities and games, and do not forget to carry along a nice speaker for ambient music. Consider putting on shades or umbrellas to avoid direct sun radiation and other elements.
6. Pay attention to the details.
Luxurious picnics thrive on details. Pack sunscreen, insect repellents, and wet wipes for convenience. Bring a beautifully crafted knife, bottle opener, and trays so that everything is done with ease. Get some personalized napkins and well-decorated picnic baskets to elevate the look of your picnic setup further. Do not forget to bring tissues and small cutlery items like spoons, knives, forks, etc. Try to bring more than required so that there is no inconvenience on the spot.

2023.06.01 14:46 Damianomigani First true-up with PG&E

Got my system installed in 2022 in California (nem2.0) and just got my first true up bill. I overproduced 3250 KWH, so I am getting a credit of $260. 2 questions:
Does it make sense to switch to MCE? I remember reading that they pay more for overproduction compared to PGE
Does it make sense to get an electric car to use up that energy overproduction? How much energy does an EV need per year if I drive roughly 10k miles? This year I spent nearly $200 per month in car fuel alone. The car sits at home during the day mostly (wfh)

After getting the 10 orphan puppies today, we are totally overwhelmed with puppies. I need to find another group willing to help. The puppies are located in Crenshaw, Ms. The man has 2 different litters and they need immediate rescue. Last week there were a total of 11 puppies. Today there are only 7 left. The others have escaped his yard and gotten runover. They are beautiful puppies. They deserve to live happy, healthy lives. They will not survive without intervention. Their moms need to be rescued too.I am begging for help for these dogs. This is so heavy on my heart tonight. We simply can't do any more than we already are right now. We have 42 puppies in our care at this very moment. If your Rescue Group can help, call me for the location in Crenshaw. We will even go and get them and transport. We will also pay for their initial vetting.
We will do anything we can to help get them to safety asap.662-541-1000

Please share. Please help get word out to rescues. Please consider adoptions. Puppies can go on transport. These are beautiful lab pups that have no hope of a home where they currently are. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Fuji 23mm WR 1.4 - A Love Letter
Dear Fujinon 23mm 1.4,
You’ve taught me the beauty of the 35mm focal length. You’ve documented life with me. My family, my friends, the places I’ve traveled too. The beautiful landscapes of CA, and the smiles of the people I’ve met. We are only 3000 shots in, but it feels like I’ve known you a lifetime. For the first time ever, I’m seeing the world through your focal length now, and going out into the world with you by my side simply feels like an extension of myself. As a father, as a husband, as an adventurer… you give me enough vision to capture everything in view, but enough focus when I want to see just my subjects only. I couldn’t ask for anything more from a friend. One day I may venture out into other focal ranges, but I’ll never forget the memories we are making today. Thank you for the clarity, sharpness, reliability, and overall beautifully rendered images of the way I see the world. I love you. ❤️
________ 😬
Does anybody just live with this prime on their camera? Most of my photos are travel/family. Dad of two and we love to travel. This lens has literally lived on my camera for a year; and I’m over 3000 shots in and I’m loving it. I also own a sigma 56 and a Viltrox 13; and I find myself barely grabbing for those too.
Back when I shot on an Canon R5, the 15-35 lived in that camera and most of the time I was shooting between 15-24. But something about this fuji lens is just incredible and helped me find the beauty of the 35mm focal length. I find I can grab the landscape shot without it being too tight, and grab the beautiful family portraits without it being too wide. Environmental portraits of where we travel help capture unique memories and moments I’ll never forget.
Ive never had this much fun shooting, and it’s all due to this focal length.
In my last three years of researching photography, I see 24, 28, and 50 focal lengths talked about a lot. But man, 35mm…. There’s a special feeling too it. Kinda like going to Disneyland. Some people may have the opinion it’s the jack of all trades master of none, but I find it as the master of all trades; and anything outside the realm of what it can do is a niche (super wide landscapes/architecture or super long telephotos you simply need a 70-300 or 100-400 for). I’ve had to break out the 13mm every now and then for a telling landscape; and back in my R5 days I made good use of a 100-500 in certain travel locations; but never in my life have I fallen in love with a focal length as I have the 35mm.
I thought I always needed a zoom. Little did I now what a prime could teach me.
