I'm a solo indie developer, and I make games. I'm NOT going to ask you to buy my games, and I'm NOT going to profit off people's love for games. Money isn't important to me because I can't really enjoy anything in this world. I was born with a bunch of allergies, but that's not important. What matters is that the money I make goes entirely into developing new games, and my goal is to break into the AA segment. Steam stopped giving traffic (special advertising) during early access. Releasing a game in a unfinished state when you're alone is not the best idea, so I release games in early access when they're already DONE, but they might contain bugs. I polish the game and release it in EA, but to make any progress, I need wishlists, and it's really hard when you have a ton of projects and you're developing around the clock. Marketing is also needed, which costs more than the revenue from these games.
All I'm asking is that if you're interested in seeing good RPG and Survival-Horror games in the future (my two favorite genres), just add my games to your wishlist. I'm not trying to beg for purchases; those who want will figure it out. But people ignore wishlists, even though they're very helpful. Since childhood, I've dreamed of making games, and somehow, it turned out that I'm actually doing it, and anyone can do it if they're interested. Games have given me so much, and now I have this internal sense of duty that I need to give back to this world too. Not everyone can just consume; someone has to create as well. I'm ready to work very hard, without sparing myself, just to see a smile on a player's face. Money is certainly a nice bonus, but seeing a player's happy face is an indescribable feeling that you're making a difference.

Hello there, fellow commandants! Today marks exactly one year since I embarked on my journey with Punishing Gray Raven, so I want to use this opportunity to share some of thoughts as I reflect on my experience with this game.
I started playing after watching this animation that somehow ended up on my youtube feed. I immediately fell in love with the character designs and the setting and I wanted to check if there is more where that came from. To my dismay, I learned that the animation is for a gacha game, which turned me off initially since my experience with gacha games has been less than favorable. Regardless, my interest was strong enough that I decided to give it a fair shake, and I'm really glad I did.
As someone whose favorite video game genre is action games, PGR's combat ticks all the right boxes for me. Good action gameplay, in my opinion, should have simple core mechanics that are easy to learn, while the depth and challenge should come from emergent factors. Take dodging in PGR, for example. At a very basic level, it is a defensive tool to avoid damage. However, it is also an offensive tool because it can trigger matrix, turning every orb ping into a 3 ping. This means the mechanic is simple enough for new players to engage with on a basic level, but it offers much more for people looking to master it. This design philosophy of depth arising from how you use a simple mechanic makes the combat easy to learn but hard to master, which is a quality I really appreciate.
The story has also been a highlight. The grim setting allowed the writers to explore various themes that left me deep in thought multiple times, while also delivering some of the most emotional moments I've experienced in a video game. Still, the characters are what makes the story special to me. Witnessing Lucia's journey to find her place in the world and become her own person has resonated with me in a way very few other stories did. And while she might be my favorite character for that reason, she is far from being the only character I like. In fact, I want to applaud PGR for making me care about almost every character, including NPCs. Most characters offer a unique perspective on the world that is informed by their own personal struggles, making them very interesting to learn about.
Finally, I would like to give my thanks to the community. I have never interacted much with communities in the past because I find it very intimidating, but after lurking in this sub for some time and after seeing how friendly everyone is, I mustered the courage to start participating in discussions. It has been a very pleasant experience and I am happy that a game I'm passionate about has such a dedicated and supportive community.
Overall, I'm glad I made the decision to start playing PGR. The countless hours I spent malding, thinking about the story and engaging with the community have been very fulfilling and I look forward to countless more I'll spend with this game.

Long story short, didn't use most of my gear for ~1yr and the lenses all developed a small amount of fungus. I've since bought a new body, but I'm still using the old fungusy lenses on it (no effect on image quality). Is there a reason I shouldn't do this, like could the fungus spread from the lenses to the new body, then to future lenses I buy?
I've changed how I store things now (big sealed box with lots of silica packets), so hopefully no more will grow.

Income - 300k from software job and no other income 5. NW - 200k (non retirement) and 200k retirement 6. H1-B for life as I am Indian and will stay in USA till kicked out, I will wait for my 3 month old US citizen daughter to grow up and sponser me. 7. NJ New homes is only for families with close to a million dollars in bank for a cash offer or for families earning 500k+ yearly income to easily afford 160k down payment with good backup cash and 5-8k monthly payment on property which I am neither. I think I can only do either a small, old, ugly or far away home in NJ for 600k or less which I don't want.

I've been meaning to restart my coding path, and study programming again. and I've been thinking of this project idea where I could pull data from an everchanging market website, like one portraying changes in local currencies or certain stocks, and then doing some data analysis on them, and finally showing them in a more accessible way through results and graphs and such. now this isn't exactly a brand new innovative concept, I know. I just wanna do it my way.
I want the project to be constantly pulling and running new data, so I suspect it should be aimed to run on a server. and I don't want it to be accessed publicly. now I'm sure there are multiple ways of going about this, but I have no idea what programming lanuague(s) I should try to study initially for it, and what to invest my time in.
I've had some small experiences in programming in the past. some basic C++ and tidbits of python in my teen years, and some css+html and lil bits of JS later on. most of which I've honestly forgotten.

We often hear the question: "Is Player X good enough to be the best player on a championship team?"
Less often, you hear: "Is Player Y good enough to be the second best player on a championship team?"
It's time to give these second bananas their due. We're going through the 2000s and ranking each SECOND best player on the title teams. Their values vary -- some were merely good starters, some were All-Stars, and some were arguably top 5 players in the entire league.
Ranking them isn't easy, but we're going to keep a few caveats in mind.
--- We're ranking based on the second banana's play during the course of THAT SEASON -- not their careers overall.
--- Statistics will be important, but not the be-all and end-all. After all, there's a big difference between stats from 2003 and stats from 2023. As a result, we may often defer to season accolades like "All-Star" or "All-NBA."
With all that said, here are my rankings, but feel free to disagree and explain your own ranks below.
The 2010-11 Dallas Mavericks were probably the most unlikely champion of the 2000s, with Dirk Nowitzki and a cast of older veterans who were seemingly on the decline. At the time, Jason Kidd was 37, Caron Butler was 30, Shawn Marion was 32, and Peja Stojakovic was 33.
You can make the case for Jason Terry to be the second banana here. Terry averaged 15.8 points off the bench for the Mavs that year, which is more impressive when you consider the context. (teams averaged 99.6 PPG then, 114.7 PPG now). Terry also pumped his numbers up to 18.0 PPG in their stunning upset over Miami in the Finals.
Still, we'll give the slight nod to Tyson Chandler as the teams' second most impactful player overall. The Toronto Raptors finally broke through when they rented mercenary Kawhi Leonard for the year, but Leonard was backed up by a very strong supporting cast overall.
Among them, we're giving a slight nod to the old dog Kyle Lowry (then 32) over the rising star Pascal Siakam. Lowry felt like more of the heartbeat to the team. The numbers don't jump off the page (14.2 PPG), but he was a strong two-way player who averaged 8.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game.
(18) Khris Middleton, 2021 Milwaukee Bucks
We have another second banana debate here, although we're leaning to Khris Middleton over Jrue Holiday. It's easy for our memory to get foggy now that Middleton has struggled post injury, but he was a very good starter before that. He averaged 20.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game (not far behind Jrue Holiday's 6.1).
While the 29-year-old Middleton didn't make the All-Star team this season, he was an All-Star caliber player; in fact, he made the team both the prior year and the year after.

We're giving the primary "star" designation to Ben Wallace here. While "Big Ben" only averaged 9.5 PPG, his defense was the Pistons' biggest differentiator. In 2003-04, Wallace won Defensive Player of the Year and even finished 7th in MVP voting.
Among the other starters, we're giving the nod to Chauncey Billups over Rip Hamilton and Rasheed Wallace. He averaged 22.1 points, 4.6 assists, and even better defensive numbers -- 1.7 steals and 1.3 blocks per game.
For his efforts, he was named to the All-Star team and to the 3rd team All-NBA. He also cracked the MVP voting again, finishing in 10th place once more. We're going to give him a slight edge on Kobe's first title year, but the two would be razor tight; they were both clearly top 10 players in the league at the time.
(5) Anthony Davis, 2020 Los Angeles Lakers
Say what you want about the COVID year, the bubble, and the "Mickey Mouse" championship, but Anthony Davis was a friggin' beast back in 2019-20. He averaged 26.1 points per game, keyed by his ability to get to the line and convert (84.6% shooting on 8.5 FTA per game). He caught fire in the playoffs, averaging a team-high 27.7 PPG with a 66.5% true shooting percentage.
Davis's defensive impact is what sets him apart from most other second bananas. He averaged 1.5 steals and 2.3 blocks per game, earning 1st team All-Defense and nearly winning DPOY. Overall, he made the All-Star team, 1st team All-NBA, and finished 6th in MVP voting. In terms of season accolades, that would be the best on our list so far.

I'm going to split the difference and say it was Curry's team the first year (when KD coincidentally missed 20 games) and then got handed over to Durant the following year (when Curry missed 30 games).
Through that lens, we're going to study Curry in that second season. Still only 29, Curry was still squarely in his prime. He averaged 26.4 PPG on a sparkling 67.5% true shooting percentage. Even though he missed 31 regular season games, he still finished 3rd team All-NBA and 10th in MVP voting. You could even argue that he was the most impactful player in the NBA at the time. After all, he had won back-to-back MVPs a few seasons prior.

Matched up with LeBron James and a historically-underrated Cavs team, Durant averaged 35.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.0 steals, and 1.6 blocks on godly shooting splits of 56-47-93 (a 69.8% true shooting). Durant was arguably the best player in the NBA that year -- and would be top 3 at minimum. For that reason, he ranks at our top spot.

Less often, you hear: "Is Player Y good enough to be the second best player on a championship team?"
It's time to give these second bananas their due. We're going through the 2000s and ranking each SECOND best player on the title teams. Their values vary -- some were merely good starters, some were All-Stars, and some were arguably top 5 players in the entire league.
Ranking them isn't easy, but we're going to keep a few caveats in mind.
--- We're ranking based on the second banana's play during the course of THAT SEASON -- not their careers overall.
--- Statistics will be important, but not the be-all and end-all. After all, there's a big difference between stats from 2003 and stats from 2023. As a result, we may often defer to season accolades like "All-Star" or "All-NBA."
With all that said, here are my rankings, but feel free to disagree and explain your own ranks below.
THE BEST (title-winning) SECOND BANANAS of the 2000s
(23) Tyson Chandler, 2011 Dallas MavericksThe 2010-11 Dallas Mavericks were probably the most unlikely champion of the 2000s, with Dirk Nowitzki and a cast of older veterans who were seemingly on the decline. We're toggling back to Dwyane Wade now -- in the year prior to our 8th place spot. In the Heatles' first title (and Wade's second overall), he was still 30 years old and arguably still in his prime. He averaged 22.1 points, 4.6 assists, and even better defensive numbers -- 1.7 steals and 1.3 blocks per game.
For his efforts, he was named to the All-Star team and to the 3rd team All-NBA. He also cracked the MVP voting again, finishing in 10th place once more. We're going to give him a slight edge on Kobe's first title year, but the two would be razor tight; they were both clearly top 10 players in the league at the time.
Say what you want about the COVID year, the bubble, and the "Mickey Mouse" championship, but Anthony Davis was a friggin' beast back in 2019-20. He averaged 26.1 points per game, keyed by his ability to get to the line and convert (84.6% shooting on 8.5 FTA per game). He caught fire in the playoffs, averaging a team-high 27.7 PPG with a 66.5% true shooting percentage.
Davis's defensive impact is what sets him apart from most other second bananas. He averaged 1.5 steals and 2.3 blocks per game, earning 1st team All-Defense and nearly winning DPOY. Overall, he made the All-Star team, 1st team All-NBA, and finished 6th in MVP voting. In terms of season accolades, that would be the best on our list so far.
If 1999-2000 Kobe Bryant was still developing, he looked like a finished product by 2000-01. Now age 22, he was a dominant player on both ends. He averaged 28.5 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 5.0 assists, and made 2nd team All-Defense. Overall, this version of Bryant finished 2nd team All-NBA and finished 9th in MVP voting. That ranking would have probably been even higher had he not missed some time in the regular season (only 68 games played).
Looking back, you could see where some of the tension between Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal may have stemmed from. After all, it's not easy for a kid who put up 29-7-6 in the playoffs to accept being second banana forever.
In the final year of the Lakers' three-peat, the 23-year-old Kobe Bryant had not only established himself as a superstar, but as one of the best players in the entire league. The numbers don't jump off the page -- 25.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists -- but we have to adjust for the era and the role he played.
The league clearly knew his value. He made the All-Star team, 2nd team All-Defense, 1st team All-NBA, and finished 5th in MVP voting (two spots behind Shaquille O'Neal). He'd jump even higher the next year, overtaking O'Neal as the leading scorer (30.0 PPG) and the leading MVP candidate (3rd overall).
Finally, we answered the question that had stumped basketball analysts for years: what would happen if you added a superstar to a team that won 73 games the year prior? Turns out, they'd be pretty good.
For our exercise, the bigger challenge is determining who the "second banana" would be between two recent MVPs Steph Curry and Kevin Durant. I'm going to split the difference and say it was Curry's team the first year (when KD coincidentally missed 20 games) and then got handed over to Durant the following year (when Curry missed 30 games).
Through that lens, we're going to study Curry in that second season. Still only 29, Curry was still squarely in his prime. He averaged 26.4 PPG on a sparkling 67.5% true shooting percentage. Even though he missed 31 regular season games, he still finished 3rd team All-NBA and 10th in MVP voting. You could even argue that he was the most impactful player in the NBA at the time. After all, he had won back-to-back MVPs a few seasons prior.
If we're calling Kevin Durant the "second banana" for the first year in Golden State, he'd rank as the best two-way sidekick in the 2000s. Remember, we're not debating "Kobe vs. Durant" in terms of career achievement here; we're ranking their single-season efforts in a supporting role. Unlike some of our other stars (like a young Kobe), Durant was squarely in his prime at age 28.
In the regular season, he averaged 25.1 PPG on stone-cold efficiency (65% true shooting). Also, outside of Oklahoma City's super-sized lineup, he showcased his ability to protect the rim as well -- blocking 1.6 shots per game. Despite missing 20 games in the regular season, he still finished 2nd team All-NBA.
More than that, Durant demonstrated his true upside in the playoffs and Finals. Matched up with LeBron James and a historically-underrated Cavs team, Durant averaged 35.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.0 steals, and 1.6 blocks on godly shooting splits of 56-47-93 (a 69.8% true shooting). Durant was arguably the best player in the NBA that year -- and would be top 3 at minimum. For that reason, he ranks at our top spot.

Hey there, I'm doing an ultra cheap build featuring the Intel Xeon E3-1230v2. I'm going for a black and red theme, and can't find any red cpu coolers that aren't argb or ultra expensive for something like this. I can't post links but the only one I could find is the TRONWIRE TW-11 on NewEgg, and I saw a review saying this is basically just an intel stock cooler so I wanted to make sure this is good enough. Hi all, I'm work from home at the moment and work in a business/project/IT job. I'm sort of the supporteall rounder of the team which I kind of like as I get bored doing one thing. I also seem to do a lot of project management/Scrum/Business Analyst work and I kinda hate it. Along with this system I admin.
My problem is I am smashed with people needing help on the system, changing it or migrating things through it. Along with this project I work on where I'm doing BA/Testing type work which has a super tight deadline and making me working over time a lot.
But I have a new manager (old one got promoted) and its like she doesn't really know what I do. She's never heard of the system before so has no idea what the day to day looks like, or really worked in a hard core project like I'm doing. To her its like "oh you're doing 2 things, thats it" anything else?
I'm not the best at explaining things either, but its also hard to talk about migration or test plans or user management on the system to someone who doesn't know what any of those are.
So I feel like now I'm exhausted, feeling over worked, without any gratitude and questioning working here. At the same time, I don't think its easy for me to find another job as my work is so random. And when asking to do work I am interested in I'm essentially told "no".

I have a QMediaPlayer-derived object that I use in QML, with a VideoOutput.
I also have a ListView, Whenever the currentItemChanged signal is fired, I set the QMediaPlayer source to an empty string, and when the backend is ready doing it's stuff, set a new source to it. Sources can either be local video files, or streamed over the internet.
This is the VideoOutput:
This works fine but there's just one visual imperfection I'd like to get rid of, which usually happens when playing internet video streams.
So the source is set to "", the VideoOutput fades out, a new source is set, it fades back in, playing the new video. However it displays the last frame from the previous video briefly before playing the new video, which I don't want.
I have tried using onMediaStatusChanged:BufferedMedia signal, but it does exactly the same thing.
I use the ffmpeg backend if that makes any difference.

I'm learning that becoming more positive isn't about using my positive thoughts to "fight" negative ones. Letting go of negative thoughts is a separate and distinct action from building positive ones. You don't enter into a new relationship by having your old partner fight your new one. You have to make a choice. Once you can consciously let go of unhelpful past processes, it's much easier to move into new ones, without so much struggling.

sorry, i'm getting off track.. so it's been about 2 months since it happened for the last time, but i've noticed someone new in her friend list (i didnt go through the messages, she just always talks to them next to me). i noticed that the conversation was getting a little sexual, i also saw that the other person wasn't really down for it and seemed quite uncomfortable. she's also told them that she has a boyfriend, which she doesn't, im her girlfriend. I have a gender-neutral name, so she's kept the same name but just keeps referring to me as 'he'?
I've had to talk to her alot about this but she doesnt handle confrontation well and will most likely turn it around on me.. The meassaging isn't as bad as it has been, at least from what i'd seen, but i know this is how it'll start.. Im wondering if i should explain her habbit to them so they don't accidentally fall nto her trap.. It's not her fault.. I can't fully satisfy her in bed so she looks elsewhere.. she's desperatly trying to stop it, she doesn't have her own phone and shares mine. she pretends she did that to help but truthfully, her phone broke. still i appreciate it but.. am i in the right to think it's not enough? i just don't want to loose her, we live together and she's the best thing that's ever happened to me.. but she makes me feel like crap..
I don't want her to be alone, she doesn't have any friends because a lot of the time friend turns into more so she's cut herself off from everyone.. i don't want her to lose a potential friend, but i feel like if she's not going to take the steps necissary to stay friends with them, then they should know the deal and they can decide whether she's worth it. which she is, we were friends first and she was the best friend i ever had, heck she still is.. but from experiance it's difficult to ignore her sexual implications..
Just, please someone advise, should i try to meassage the person?
