2023.06.01 10:16 user1752916319 The part of Clifton off 21 by Garfield is actually the most irritating place to drive through
It feels like you’re in a maze. I understand some side streets being one ways because they’re too narrow, but Parker Ave is huge and that’s a one way. I thought maybe they did that to keep people from Passaic out, but Randolph Ave is a block away and that’s a one way back into Clifton. I feel like I’m always running into “do not enter” signs and then having to make a detour. It’s also so tight to the point where if a car is stopped in the middle of the street with its hazards on, you just have to wait for them to move before you can go. Why are the roads there designed like that?

My neighbors saw it happen - but not any info besides it’s a young girl maybe 17ish idk in a light grey/light blue car. This is kind of a long shot but if anyone saw a light grey/light blue car or has any info, I’d appreciate it 🙏🏼

2023.06.01 04:43 Separate-Let8700 Safeway San Antonio Rd Mountain View is bad.
There are other Safeway stores that are much better and safer to shop at in the area on Middlefield Rd Palo Alto, Shoreline Blvd Mountain View, Miramonte Ave Mountain View, and First St Los Altos. Shoreline Blvd Mountain View Safeway sometimes have homeless people outside, but not inside. I shop at the San Antonio Rd Mountain View location cus it’s so convenient. However, on May 16 there was a homeless man inside the store near the self checkout line cross asile blocking the way with a wheelchair cart he’s sitting on and a Trader Joe’s cart beside him full of personal belongings. People had to go around him and his carts. I avoided this location for 5 years since 2017 and only started going again in September 2022. The amount of insane homeless people at this location is frustrating and management doesn’t do anything about it. They did take away the cafe dining area during the pandemic which previously attracted homeless people camping there. Why doesn’t the management at this particular location do anything about the homeless constantly coming in. Since 2017, the amount of homeless people increase in the Safeway, the village center, and on the surrounding streets San Antonio rd, California st, and el Camino real. I refuse to shop at Safeway San Antonio rd from now on and will shop at the other nearby Safeway locations that have no homeless people camping inside the store.

2023.06.01 03:53 Silly_Goose24_7 Latest read from the library.
| I like zines and did a zine lunch and the artist that hosted the zine I participated talked about a book by Lynda Barry. It was on writing comics I think? I decided to check out all her books from the library. Some of her books make my head hurt with all the different designs. But this one is comics sharing some of her life experiences. It was a really good read and I am going to watch for a copy to add to my shelves. submitted by Silly_Goose24_7 to graphicnovels [link] [comments] |

2023.06.01 02:29 Senior-Function3709 Are ppl really out here accepting this garbage?
| It's truly insulting that they would a.) Think we are dumb enough to accept it, and b.) Think so low of us to even offer such a pittance. Nobody could survive accepting offers like this all day, yet some dipshit will surely take it submitted by Senior-Function3709 to UberEatsDrivers [link] [comments] |

2023.06.01 02:22 FloralFeral The Trib discovers Ciccio
Full story link here First part of the story:
Years before the hit FX show, “The Bear” made the humble Italian beef suddenly hip last year, I’ve been hunting for
Chicago’s best version. I’ve scoured classic beef stands, waited in line at numerous Italian delis and even spotted some
creative interpretations from our city’s best chefs.
One place I never thought to look? Navy Pier. The tourist mecca offers tremendous views, and the food options have improved over the past decade, but the notion that a great Italian beef lurked near a Ferris wheel was not on my radar.
Yet halfway down the pier, Ciccio Italian Beef dishes out a version unlike any in town. While most shops shave the beef paper thin, Ciccio’s beef is slightly thicker, yet stunningly tender and almost steak-like. Instead of a soft and squishy roll, this one features a crackly crust that gives way to a supremely tender interior that soaks up the beefy juices without turning to mush. Whether or not it’s the best in the city is debatable, but it’s a fascinating new option.
Turns out, Ciccio owner Mario Ferraro is no newbie to the Italian beef game. In the 1970s, Ferraro even ran Mia’s Beef and Sausage at 1729 N. Cicero Ave.
