I got everything ready and went to the post office but, he was not there he stayed home because he was sick. I went over to his house to give him the cake when he saw it, life formed in his eyes. Hey guys I've been on a dry spell for maybe 6 months now. I've had plenty of opportunities to leave but either felt stuck in my physical body or my non physical body was too faint in order to fully focus out of body. This has been very frustrating for me but recently I've decided to stop trying and be flexible.
This morning I felt the desire to leave but instead of the usual attempt, I focused on my old porch at the house I grew up in. Recently I've found myself at my old house as a dream setting so I figured it would be a good place to start. I focused on the smell of being outside, the sun hitting my face and the feeling of being home.
I was on my back when I felt the desire to leave and just sat up out of my body. When I got up I was on my porch. I stuck my hand through the rails in order to confirm my projections which I usually do after a dry spell. It's a very specific feeling in my "hands" as they move through the layers.
I floated up towards the trees and ended up in this very oddly structured shopping area. It was like one of those mc Escher drawings but not as confusing. No one could see me so I was just people watching. There were beautiful trees wrapped around and stretching out in the area. The architecture was very nice and people were going about their lives shopping. Kids were running around playing doing their usual kid thing. This was probably the fourth time I ended up in an earth alternate. This one was pretty normal as far as "rules" go. Nothing odd except the architecture which I've noticed tends to be very different from ours. The people were pretty peaceful and doing normal things like we do. They felt like us but in a different version of reality.
Anyway that's my dry spell success story. It feels good to get back out there because it's been too long. I needed that feeling again.

I had heard whispers and inklings about the show over the last year or so but I didn’t pay it much mind. Generally speaking, I’m of the don’t believe the hype mindset when it comes to television. I also just didn’t have the time nor the emotional bandwidth to start a new TV show… until April of this year.
I was hanging out with one of the best friends back in late March and we somehow got on the topic of the show. I expressed my reluctance to watch it because of its popularity and they just said, “dude, just humor me and watch it.” Ugh, fine.
It took a few more weeks but I finally managed to start it. I work for a university and once spring break started, I was working from home and flipping through my streaming apps and finally decided to take the plunge. I had a free 3-month trial for Apple TV+ so I thought, what the hell.
Holy. Fuck.
I was hooked instantly. Not only was it hilarious, it was heartfelt and wholesome and poignant and the characters just spoke to me on a spiritual level. (I’m also a huge fan of Bill Lawrence. Scrubs is one of my favorite shows ever.) As a queer person, Colin’s story just tugged at my heartstrings because I knew EXACTLY how he felt about coming out. As a person who grew up in a rough environment, Jamie’s story made me feel so seen and heard. I fucking hated him at first because he was an obnoxious little twit but he had a Zuko-tiered redemption arc and he is honestly one of my favorite characters in all of television.
This is one of those shows where it just sticks with you — the one-liners, it’s depiction of mental health and masculinity, the character development, the emotional moments, all of it. I’ve gotten to the point where I spread the gospel of this show wherever I go and I cried like a BABY at the last episode. It was just so perfect and I honestly feel like a better person after watching the show.
I was asked to go to London for a work trip in September back over the winter (before I started watching the show) and now, I’m making it a priority to make the pilgrimage to Richmond when I’m there.
I’m so happy to have found a new comfort show.

The way he carried himself was showing low confidence. I went in his apartment and I spoke to him than I played with his dog and than when the night came he asked me for a kiss. I kissed on him just a tap. Than later on we decided to go to the smoke shop and got some edibles. We both got high and started kissing on each other like crazy. He had 3 full edibles while I only had 2. We were making out on the floor everywhere and gave me hickeys and everything . He was trying to pull my pants down but I said wait because I came from a long flight and I want to freshen up. I eventually got up and went to go shower and he said “okay that’s fine”. So I went to shower and after I went to his bed room than he came back into the room after talking with his big brother. I was in the room changed and ready. We were gonna go to “sleep”. I got on top of him and started making out with him. And I asked him if we can have sex. So than I just said “okay if that’s how u feel I respect that” I layed down the other way kinda heart broken. Than he kept asking me if I was okay every 5 seconds. “are u okay?” I kept saying “yes I’m okay “ than it continued. He kept going on for about 2 hours of him asking me that. He eventually fell asleep while I went on his carpet floor and cried in silence. He didn’t see me I was next to the frame. I was ranting to my friends and they recommended me to get out of their . I had a flight 1 day later after that night and I was sooo angry I felt violated. I eventually bought a train ticket back home. When he woke up I had all my stuff packed.I left the house and he followed me . Once I closed the door he didn’t chase . I left crying badly .I stood in the lobby waiting for my Uber and I was crying badly.I texted him “this the last time I’ll ever speak to you again “ than he felt bad. I went to the train station. 49 min Uber and it was expensive. He kept calling when I was at the train station. I eventually picked up because I was nervous to go back home in a train .He said he would talk to me when I go back their. I did go back and spoke to him he explained to me that he was high and saw my face moving. He eventually compliments me and says sorry. Than he kept talking from their … I didn’t sleep at all that night before so I told him I was tired and I need to rest and so than we did it was so nice.I was little spoon but than I woke up and he was fingering me,I tried kissing him but for some reason he wasn’t kissing me and asked if I wanted to do it still ? We did it but it wasn’t the best honestly. I noticed as we were doing it he was smiling and kissing on me. He looked as he was enjoying it because I opened my eyes mid way.this why I find this confusing. Even after we did it he said he still wasn’t ready for a relationship. The same time we did it I had to leave back home in about 1 hour . So I refreshed and long story short we went to 7/11 and bought pizza and hot dogs before I left than we sat down and ate he was acting shy idk what it was . He was laughing a lot tho . My level 10 party was on their way through a gate when a new Elder rune side railed the whole campaign, the "Knot" turned to gate to connect into a random gate. So instead of going to the Lost level they went to the 20th level. They could not use the gate to go back immediately, they battled a stone golem while the wizard solved the gate which connected to level 15th.
They are pretty much at the mercy of the gate network. The game became going through portals just line in the show Sliders till they find "home", the upper levels.
I gave them some slack and they contacted Skella with sending stones whom gave them a way out through level 18th and 6th. (long story short, Skella was heavily homebrewed and they are allied with her).
The deepest they ever were was the Lost level, they wanted to start level 7. It really turned the game upside down and I guess it pretty much needed it. As long as you are lenient a bit on lower level, and you can give them a way out, a quick, couple of session in the belly of Undermountain can be a nice and thrilling experience.
The boon pair of the Knot symbol would be that a gate opens to any level they wish for.

Ok so a couple of days ago a raccoon got hit in the front of my neighborhood…I couldn’t find an active wound on him but there was blood in the road, blood coming from his nose (in the beginning). There was a garbage bag nearby that I ripped in half and used to pick him up and move him to the side of the road over in the grass…he seemed like he was in shock, he was very disoriented and just “turning circles” like his equilibrium was all messed up and very confused. He seemed near death and that really got to me in this moment. So, like a good idiot I went down there with a wagon and loaded him up and brought him back to my house because “I’m gonna save this raccoons life!” 😐…I went to the vet across the street from my neighborhood…told them about the incident, they gave me a squirt syringe of nutrient solution to try and help feed him something as well as another one for water to give him..he was never aggressive and never bit or scratched me..I went to the hardware store and bought some forearm length gloves to handle him because he kept wandering out into the street and just turning circles. Very tired, kinda derpy. I just chalked all this up to the fact that he had been run over by a car. To try and condense this novel real quick…my main paranoia is coming in contact with his saliva or blood which to my knowledge NEVER touched me..this is in between washing my hands like every single time I tried to feed or water him or pick him up with the gloves on. I guess I’m mostly paranoid that I could’ve like itched my eye with a fingertip after exposure to him OR some flys buzzing him that maybe touched or landed on me or my face (I don’t think that happened, but it’s hot where I live) which would be contaminating on like a microscopic level. I was very conscious the whole time of “this animal could definitely have rabies” even though he wasn’t aggressive and never offered to bite or scratch me. Last night when I got home from work I loaded him back up in the wagon and took him out to the woods and we parted ways..am I being overly paranoid about coming in contact with this dude?

Thankfully, we get to know the day of shutdown in advance on the TNEB website. I usually go to my friend's home or to a co-working space for a day pass. I tried going to a cafe (Cafe CakeBee, Saibaba Colony) once, but the chairs are not comfortable there and they don't have Wi-Fi (for customers) which was not a great working from cafe experience that I imagined it to be. (I wonder if the chairs were intentionally uncomfortable to get you to leave quicker). Please recommend some ways you work from on days such as that. (any work-friendly cafe in CBE).

I know medical vacation is a thing. But why don't people permanently / semi-permanently move for a much better life because many other countries have less expensive daily life.
Question is not just for US. Any pricey country to less pricey country.
There might be loved ones there yes. But by shifting one can have a much better life right? Especially those who are suffering a lot bcoz of finances.
A similar question would be why do people living in disaster prone areas not move to safe places?

hi, sorry if this isn’t the right place to put this! yesterday i managed to get 2 presale tickets for lovejoy on the gigsandtours website, i got on the website around 35 mins before the tickets went live, when it got to the ticket release time, it said to refresh the website, i did this and nothing happened so i kept refreshing until eventually i was in the queue, however there was a max. of 2 tickets i could get even though the email i received from the band said i could get 4 tickets max, I’m assuming i was one of the last people in the queue
i need to get 2 more tickets for my friends when general sale goes live tomorrow, however i’m not too sure what the best thing to do is, do i keep refreshing until i get the queue screen or is it best to just refresh once and wait? i’m worried about being in the back of the queue potentially!

My newborn has broken me. He was never an “easy” baby but in the last week he turned into the child from hell. You’d think I smoked crack during pregnancy. He refuses to sleep unless in the baby wrap so I spend the night propped upright and miserable. If I put him down even for a second he screams bloody murder so I can’t get ANYTHING done. He used to sleep in the car seat. Overnight he decided that he hates it and spends the entire ride making these horrible shrill, guttural screams. He’s always overtired because he won’t fucking sleep. Last night we tried to go to dinner. He screamed so much on the way over I had to pull over and nurse him. On the way back (after fussing and cluster feed through dinner which I never actually got to eat) I lost it. He was screaming and crying and all I could do was hit myself and try not to literally rip my hair out. When we got home I vomited from the stress and couldn’t stop shaking. I go between wanting to kill myself and having horrible intrusive thoughts about killing him that really frighten me. I hate my life, myself, and I’m even starting to hate the baby. I regret becoming a mother every second of the day and I want my life back. I know I have PPD and PPA but seeing a therapist isn’t doing anything. I don’t even know why I wrote this but I had to get it out.

I write this to vent, to look for support, to not feel alone and hopefully to find some good advice, words of encouragement and support. I’ve been a drug addict since 2002. I became addicted to prescription pain medication after a high school football injury. That was 20 years ago now, and I’m shocked I still deal with it to this very day. I haven been using for 20 years straight, it’s been a off and on battle, and not just with pain meds but booze also (and some other stuff) If it’s not the booze it’s pills, if it’s not pills it’s booze or weed or something, anything to make me feel different than my normal. I do have some substantial clean times under my belt in those 20 years but I always end up back at square one. I’m recently coming off of a bender on pain pills, was getting high everyday day since early October. Jesus the guilt I feel is immense. See I didn’t get caught, no one knows I was getting high, no legal or money problems. I’m a stand up member of the community, coach little league, vice president HOA, have a high paying corporate job, nice suburban home, kids, the American dream. Except no one knows that while I look successful I’m dying on the inside. Slowly killing myself through a cycle of relapses and “I can just have one beer” or “I never had a problem with weed” and months later I’m drinking a fifth of vodka a night or sniffing 30mg of pain killer up my nose in the bathroom every 4-6 hours. I’m fucking tired. I’m fucking ashamed. I’m SCARED, and I’m just fucking so god damn sad. Why the fuck did I have to be afflicted with this shit? Why didn’t I listen when my mother said there addiction in the family and I need to stay away from all that when I was younger. I swear my brain is ruined from this shit, not in the sense that I can process data, but in the sense that my impulse control has a very obvious flaw when it comes to substances. The need to feel altered outweighs the consequences “this time will be different” or whatever bullshit I come up with in my head. I feel like I don’t even believe myself anymore when I tell myself those things. In my head I’m negotiating with a liar, myself. If you’re still reading this any words of encouragement or advice would be greatly appreciated. I’m alone on this one in my real life and could use the connection.

I'm 20 years old and have worked part-time overnight security since graduating from high school. I'm paid decently, but not enough to live alone. I don't mind living with my parents right now, but with bills, it's still not enough to live comfortably. I'm now training for a work-from-home position so i'd be doing overnight security and chat support in the early mornings. I just don't know what I want to do with my life; I'd go to college if there was something that interested me, but there isn't. I'm still undecided about trade school, but I'd appreciate any recommendations on any credentials I may apply for or things i can look into that could get me a better paying job. Most teachers prefer to live and work in larger cities, as it allows them to live in a comfortable and active environment as well as still have access to the luxuries they are used to from back home; whether it be access to entertainment, shopping, or even just casual restaurant dining.

↔️ Eh....true and false. Failed to mention the black mold issue in their "comfortable" environment. The deduction in salary due to the Hagwon not covering all of the rent in some cases, such as a few jobs I've seen in the Sinsa-Dong area of Gangnam. They'll pay more in salary, but no rent, then -$800 later, you're making 2.1 million won as usual. Living in an urban area makes no difference what-so-ever, if you are working so much, you don't have time to enjoy the place. Meanwhile, the public schools, urban or rural, 4:45pm every day --BAM! you're out the door, no administrative duties, and totally free until 8:30 the next morning.

2. Higher Salaries: Both Starting and Down the Road

The average starting salary for academy positions in 2015 was 2.3 million KRW a month. The average public school teacher started at only 2.0 KRW a month, despite requiring higher qualifications such as a TEFL certification.
It is also important to note that because academies are commercial businesses, theoretically the sky is the limit when it comes to salaries.

MOST Hagwons pay, and soul-crushing POLY schools pay, very much in that range. A few jobs in certain sectors will pay more, but that involves SAT and other test-prep institutions and being fluent in both languages is required. Korvia is boasting of 4.0, and that's stretching the bait a little thin in my book.
Public school teachers make more than 2.0 KRW a month. AND they have a much easier job, way more time off, weekends off, sick days are honored and so on. The public schools don't require that many more qualifications, and a TEFL is not like a Masters degree or something. It is barely harder than an extended seminar.
