Up to season 4 episode 10, it is getting so intense, and starting to see the pattern of how important all the political shit is. Thing is, it bored me so much in previous seasons I kinda tuned out when any political talk happened. And Carcetti just comes across as a sleaze no matter his expression haha, but now he seems to be a good guy??? Awww sheeeeeet, I think I have to do a re watch and really listen to ALL the bits or I am going to miss it falling into place in season 5. Yeah I seen comments about how it all comes together in season 5.

About me: 24, nerdy, definitely shy, looking to have a meaningful connection. Something I do try to be up front about is that I have a hearing impairment in my left ear and have to wear a hearing aid. Other than occasionally asking to have something repeated it doesn't affect daily life too much. I am 5'11, hispanic with curly brown hair, and wear glasses.
Hobbies: Video games (mostly PC, recently got a switch and trying to play on that, I can give my friend code out!), reading, anime (not as into it as I used to be, mostly because I don't have anyone to watch with), music (big into hyperpop, piano/violin, indie rock lately but listen to everything and also got a record player), boating/swimming, talking on the phone, spending time with my dogs, and cooking (not the greatest but i really enjoy learning how to cook different dishes, I recently did a garlic/rosemary/lemon salmon and it was fantastic!).
I am college educated and have a stable career, but I am currently exploring other options within my field, which allows me to work remote, so anywhere in the country is really available. I currently live in the midwest but would be willing to move for the right person. I really love what I do for work but it can be a bit boring (medical device engineer).
My ideal type is some that is into big romantics, cheesy/a little clingy, a bit of a nerd and a gamer, and someone who will stick by your side. I don't really have a preference outside of being somewhat close in age but even then it's more about a connection than how many years you have lived. I just want to get to know people and find the right person for me.

Hi reddit, I have a problem. My DM is playing too smart. We keep fighting enemies with hundreds of speed and fly speeds with no inentions of ever getting close to the party becuase they realized how broken racial flight is. My sword and shield paladin is kind of getting left in the dust, and I can't do much to catch up with our flying wizard (he does not know Fly) and flying ranger (he has an uncommon item) and don't have many options to tweak my build since we're already level 23. I have a wand of magic missiles and a necklace of fireballs with one pearl left, but I feel like that might not be enough?! Idk, I asked to use Find Greater Steed recently to get a flying mount but DM banned the spell because "I shouldn't be able to sidestep my weaknesses that easily" and because "well if we let *everyone* fly you'd be OP" and then told me to throw my copperstore javelins at the hasted balors. I also can't get any magic items for this because we found like six of them over the campaign total and don't have any ways to buy more with our 5000000 gold. I already issued a formal complaint but DM isn't dumbing the baddies down for me, how can i powergame my way out of this one fellas

For some quick context… I recently asked my employers for some time off, to which they said no basically. Reason being because I don’t have any pto saved up. That’s fine I’m not really question that part of it. However my employer got pretty heated at the thought that I would even ask her and said no you can’t have the time off (if I want to still work there). She then sent me home early that day after giving me an ultimatum. Either I cancel the vacation and continue to work for them, or go on the vacation and essentially get fired. Now here’s the thing I’m worried about though… She emailed me later in the evening, saying that if I do decide to still go on the vacation, they would label it as “job abandonment”. Which makes sense so far, because yeah, if I willing still go on the trip even after what my boss said then yeah I understand how that would be job abandonment. What I am worried about with this whole “job abandonment” thing though, is they could very easily abuse this. If for whatever reason I needed to leave work early one day or if I’m sick and can’t make it in, or if they ask me to come in on a Saturday and I don’t want to/can’t, they could fire me and label it as “job abandonment” so as to not give me unemployment benefits. I need some insight on this, please and thank you.

Background information: Bought a mattress at Regal Sleep Solution and Latex Bedding Co in NSW. The mattress in Regal Sleep Solution was terrible - it sagged after 1-2 years. I argued with them about the quality of the mattress and they offered me a new mattress - which sagged in less than a year. Did some research and bought a new mattress from Latex Bedding Co. Best sleep I had in years. However after 2-3 years, the bed started to sag and I wake up with lower back pains everyday now. Tossing and turning most days. It's so terrible dreading to sleep every night. Unfortunately, I do not meet the warranty requirements to get a new mattress. Hard to talk to the owner of the store as he's all the way in Sydney.
I rotated the mattresses every few months and have a metal bed frame to support it. Tried removing the bed frame and it doesn't work. I'm not sure what to do anymore.
I've been doing research on mattresses to buy and it's hard to find reviews about mattresses that last for more than 4 years (with proper care and etc). Hi. I don't have any friends and I try to be good at convos. Trying to work hard on my trauma and confidence . All I do is wake up, get ready for uni, study, come back home, do my homework, exercise for a while, do my work, and chill out for a bit listening to music, watching some anime/shows/movies, and playing some of my favorite games.
