My partner and I went out shopping recently to a retail park we usually go to. We parked a tad bit further up than usual (in the same parking lot of the retail center with the same meter company's name) went to the RingGo meter, used the app and paid £1 for the hour. While using the app, as my partner is new to it, he clicked on use my location as it was what he had successfully done before with no issues, and he clicked on the first location which came up as our parking lot. Today we have received a parking penalty for £100 saying that we haven't paid on the day. We have the proof of history on the app, we called in and were told its a completely different car park and not related to them, supposedly in the city centre. Now when you Google this particular car park you will see it is in the same retail park, one seems to be covering the left area and one covering the right of the same lot. We obviously paid for the wrong one on this occasion but it is a very honest mistake, firstly why would the app give you the option to use your location if it would be inaccurate while in the parking lot. But also, they work through the same app making them look related, I am also disabled and this is my mobility car, we absolutely cannot afford to pay this fine and morally don't feel right when we have already paid. They said the next step is debt collectors and then court. My partner is willing to go to court for this, what is the likely outcome?

Hey guys, this might be a hard question but I've tried so hard to find the video again for so long and never managed to do it. It was a video where the game ends (I'm pretty sure it was MW remake but not sure tbh) and players were still in the score results screen, and you could see the map they were playing in and also, they could use voice chat between teams right there.
So one of the winners, said "Hey yo, how you XBOX (bit**es/ hard R N word, don't remember which) like it, my n***a?? How you XBOX (b****es/ N-word) like that??" - No more bagging stuff. People can buy bags or bring their own and bag their own stuff.
- Pay a quarter to use a shopping cart and get it back by returning the cart.
The biggest argument I think is less convenience leading to loss of customers, but I've seen many stores reduce how many checkout lines they have open because they have self-checkouts. Doesn't seem like convenience is that big of a concern.

Saw this sub last 2021, 3rd year college (province State U). Saw the opportunities in IT and career shifting milestones from engineering grads.
I started self studying 2 programming languages on my 4th year sa CE because i find it enjoyable. i learned some na rin sa programming subjects namin.
Gruaduted with latin honors. But my heart is set to shifting to IT right then. Since a review center for boards gave me free tuition that time (2022), I just gave in to start na rin, why not sabi ko. Im preparing for interviews and more studying sa coding that time. Super torn and utak and pagod.
Around September, nagkaleche leche sa bahay. Daming financial problems (we're upper lower class) na nagsurface, pati hard earned money ko na inipon from scholarships, nasimot. I was so down, di ako makapag review nang maayos (online review kasi so sa bahay lang ako and di siya conducive for learning kasi ang ingay and sabay pa mga chores na nakaka wala ng focus sa pag review) (tip: magreview elsewhere with a good set of roommates). I told my parents di ko kaya mag exam this year, and that maghahanap na ako work sa IT.
Siyempre I will try my chances sa notorious IT company here sa ph > accepting ng career shifters but swertihan sa projects. Around October tho, I got a quick response na they dont have a fit role for me there yet. And that I will have to wait. Devastated.
Luckily, found a startup AI company and I got a part time job. Role was not so technical but I appreciate the high compensation. Around January, my contract expired and nagbabakasakali na akong maka land ng SWE role elsewhere kaya I refused to renew my contract. Very big mistake of leaving a high paying job na wfh for an entry level career shifter without another job in line. Office is in Makati and Im in Bicol.
So I started studying again some languages (fundamentals pa lang, wala pa akong real prpjects and portfolio). Gusto ko kasi maayos yung grasp ko sa fundamentals muna and maybe wala akong structure kaya di ako maka start gumawa ng something. Around feb, I got accepted to a Web Dev training for a freelance agency in ph. Training will start in March but no pay and self paced. It was very promising. The founder is a redditor and I found the posting here in reddit too.
Around March, in the middle of my training (20 kami and may 5 lang na pipiliin for full time), naghost na kaming lahat ng agency. Discord and socials namin to connect and di naman nabigay samin lahat ng learning materials or exams. The founder and the team just stopped messaging there and ghosted us completely. Funny thing is andun pa kami sa server now.
In the middle of all this, nadiagnose ng isang rare cancer si papa. Si papa ang may work sa family now. naapektuhan work niya and yung naipon kong pera sa previous job kofor allowance sana if mahire sa manila, nagastos na for tests and hospital bills.
At this time nakakawalang gana na kasi I thought ito na yung pinapangarap kong wfh SWE job na may maganda culture and all. Turned into dust na lang bigla. Buti na lang I have a good circle of friends to uplift me when Im down.
Surprisingly,, around last week of March ">" contacted me for an assessment exam. I passed on the day of exam. Told me to wait for an interview. This time, instead of upskilling, naubos ng oras ko ang pag alaga kay papa sa hospital, gawain sa bahay, worrying. Hoping na lang na tumawag na yung >. Nagapply rin pala ako for CE jobs (around 50 applications) this time para di lang umasa sa isang company. but lahat ligwak kasi maybe of my previous job not in the same field. And the fact that Im not licensed yet.
April pa tho ako nainterview sa ">". Interview went super well naman. I was prepared kasi I practiced a lot sa glassdoor questions. Told me na they will contact me na lang after 2-3 weeks. So of course balik muna ako sa pagalaga kay papa and sa pag maintain ng chores and errands.
It's been 6 weeks na now, and wala pa ring final interview schedule though. Followed up during the 4th week kasi sabi sa ibang posts is kulitin daw, and the recruiter told me Im still in the process kaya I dont know how to feel.
Nakita ko rin na open and position dahil maraming job posts ng referrals sa FB. but may nakalagay sa taas na: preferrably Female. To not downplay myself, ang iniisip ko na lang is maybe okay naman ang interview and skills ko, but I'm male kasi kaya nasa pool lang nila.
Now, writing this, kasi baka mamiss ni papa ang second round ng chemo niya and may mga naniningil pa dito sa bahay sa mga utang ni mama na unrelated samin (her fault).
Asked mama regarding sa isang importante na resibo about sa isang padala but nagrarason lang siya about nawala and whatnot. I think pathological liar si mama. Ang dami niya kasi nauuto and namamanipulate. Nagbreakdown lang ako now kasi need ko yung resibo.
I avoided facebook na rin kasi nakaktrigger makita na pumapasa yung mga batchmates sa boards and mga inspiring journeys nila. inaavoid ko kasi nagsaspiral ako about what if tinuloy ko ang review despite everything, di nakakatulong sa mental health ko.
Now, start of June, I feel kind of hopeful na magkaroon ng himala. Nakkapagod rin kasi araw araw yung pagiiisip na wala akong trabaho despite my success sa college.
Sad lang na baka mamiss ni papa yung chemo dahil sakin dahil wala akong work and di ako maka contribute. Naubos na kasi emergency funds ko sa utang ni mama at yung mga hospital at house bills eh. Madami dami rin yun. I accumulated 70k for my allowance sa Manila. Di ko naman ineexpect na magkaka cancer si papa, mawawalan work si mama, di ako matanggap sa kahit anong work na inapplyan ko.
Really feeling so depressed now, almost wala na ako nafifeel. Sa sobrang daming bad news na sunod sunod, nakakamanhid rin. Nagtatry ako magwork out, watch shows, journal, meditate, pero minsan wala na rin epekto.
I dont wanna burden you reader, pero I kind of wanna end things this year. I felt like such a disappointment to myself. I dont know what went wrong. Maybe dapat di na lang ako nagpauto about career shifting opportunities and maybe di ko tinaasan expectations ko. Siguro I should have studied more and sacrificed my mental health despite house problems, baka sana natanggap na ako sa work. Maybe I didnt push myself enough gaya nung iba na nag cocode after work.
My friends are having their own 23 year old fresh grad crisis din now. Masyado ko na silang nabother about my father's sickness and ayaw ko na lang na every time imessage ko sila is puro ako rant about my life. Kaya siguro I just poured everything here.
Di ko alam. Maybe a bath will fix me kaso sinisipon at nilalamig pa ako now. Maybe an exercise. But right now ang pinaka plausible kong plan is to upskill again for the whole month of June. then apply around July. Like I dont have a choice anymore. Either this or I'll die trying. Need advice.

The option to purchase a bike via Bike to Work has opened up at my work and with me having been biking to work a lot since i started at this place back in August i've decided its time to treat myself to a new ride. Its not the longest commute to work but is a combination of road\paved surface, gravel track and on occasions when the weather has been nice so its not a mud bath i can go over some fields to finish off rather than taking on the main busy road that heads out of town towards the countryside which isnt the most pleasant of riding.
I'm currently doing it on my 2009 Giant Terrago mountain bike which whilst a half decent spec and ok bike its starting to show its age plus the mountain bike setup of front suspension and MTB tyres isnt the greatest for the road\paved sections and probably over the top for the gravel path bits. Also in the winter when its dark riding home i tend to stick to the road way home as a good chunk of the other route is not lit in anyway although it could be soon. Having initially looked at a drop handle gravel bike i then moved on to looking at a flat bar hybrid bike as i think i'd prefer the more upright position whilst on the road for a better view plus spec wise i'm looking well over £1000 to get things like hydraulic brakes etc.
After a visit to a good local bike shop and a chat with the guys there i think i've pretty much narrowed it down to either a Specialized Sirrus X 3.0 or a Trek Dual Sport 3 Gen 5 where they've dropped the front suspension. Pretty sure i dont need the suspension and like the idea of just a single chain ring at the front for ease etc. Anyone got either of these or have experience of either of them?
From shopping around at places i can use our bike to work scheme the Trek would likely cost me about £100 more but i'm wondering if its worth that for the Shimano stuff over microshift and tektro stuff on the Specialized?

I have been very indecisive about ring choices but finally managed to narrow down to emerald and radiant cuts (I was very wrong about wanting an oval) after trying on stock rings from kuololit.

after trying both, I like both but feel slightly drawn to emerald cuts! my partner thinks I would prefer the radiant long-term because he knows I am a magpie, lol. he has also fairly mentioned because of the size of the radiant, it's harder to compare equally, which I agree with. (kuololit seem to have sent a smaller stone - ordered 8x6; I measured and it's slightly smaller).
I will be happy with either but I am thinking what I would like in our wedding photos/honeymoon etc! which may sound a little silly but hey :).
for an emerald cut, I would get a tulip basket setting / for the crushed ice radiant a simple hidden halo.
9x7 is an ok size for me. both hopefully would be paired with a 3mm flat band in platinum or a bubble band.
has anyone had a similar dilemma? or anyone willing to give some advice? ;0

I’m new to LOTR and have been wanting to buy a replica One Ring with the chain necklace. I’m aware that Noble Collections has one and WETA/Jens Hansen also sells replica jewelry. I was wondering if anyone has ordered a good quality one from Amazon? I’ve been reading the reviews to try and figure out which one is best. Ideally I would buy the WETA/Jens Hansen one, but it is a bit out of my price range. I’m looking for at least something stainless steel because it will last longer. Also it doesn’t have to be an exact replica, but I don’t want something looking completely fake or cheap either. If anyone has any ideas and is able to help I would really appreciate it.

I for one will not be frequenting this awesome subreddit and going to unsubscribe (temporarily) from Diablo channels on YouTube until I at least complete the campaign.
Going to take my sweet time with my "bottom tier" summoner Necro build (which I have not planned out lol), and enjoy every inch of the world and take in everything without fear of spoilers (hoepfully!).
Did the exact same with Elden Ring when it came out and don't regret it at all.
You only play through a new game once.

I am fascinated fairly often by many things and I have many hobbies so you won’t be bored. Last month I became fascinated by Spanish modern history after reading Preston’s biography of Francisco Franco and I was reading about the Miracle on the Han River yesterday, while my family gave a lunch party and I had to keep myself entertained while they discussed the tragedy of a heiress’ dog many illnesses, which were mysteriously shared with his owner, and some reforms in the Vatican Bank. But yes, in general, I really enjoy the humanities. I follow politics keenly – in fact, there is some chance I might have some thoughts on your country’s politics – and I’d say I am on the centre-left – pro-choice, in favour of a robust welfare state, LGBTQ+ rights, affirmative action. If you know about Brazilian politics, I voted for Marina and Haddad in 2018 (the voting age here is 16), and Lula last year.
As you can imagine, I also really enjoy reading and writing. Besides poetry, I have often thought about reading a novel, but this seems like too much work – and it seems that it would be arrogant of me to write a novel having lived this little. I really enjoy learning about other languages and cultures and I know a bit of French, German, Spanish, and Russian, besides English and Portuguese. I am into genealogy and I have helped a few friends with it. I also really enjoy TV shows and cinema, and I am easily brought to tears. I cried during the last Minions movie, even if I didn’t want to be there. I love music and my taste in it has been described as “fairly gay”. I’d have loved to be a musician, but I’d have loved to have been many things.
I guess I am pretty introverted, polite, and timid. I am affectionate and I can be really passionate as well. And I am fairly funny, or rather, I have made a few people laugh over the years. I asked a close friend to describe myself, and that is what he said:

You avoid conflict and unnecessary arguments, but love to participate in good conversations. Since we have a survey going, did anyone make Gaijin aware of the fact that VT-1 are basically worse than Roland missile now? Like somebody must've noticed the change, made it hands down, the worst SAM on 11.7 ..
Sure they fly fast but that's it.. The VT-1 wont even pull 10G after a 2-3 second waiting time, the missile is pretty much not turning what so ever. As soon as you reach about 7-8 clicks, the missile starts wobbling and becomes uncontrollable and will probably just miss. Doesn't happen with the Pantsir or Tor-M1.. If you don't know the real flight behavior, dont make some shit up and balance it properly!
Gaijin cant be serious at this point. They added the Pantsir which is on the same tier as the FlaRakRad btw but the Pantsir was first in service 2012 and the FlaRakRad is in service since 1987 and it is out of use since 2002 like how insane is that?! They nerfed France/Germany/Sweden with that single change for no reason and the added range is useless because you wont hit a fastmover 12 clicks away! The FlaRakRad is alrdy handicapped by 2 ready to go missile and the fact that the reload only happens once the second missile is out of LOS or destroyed.
Revert that change! Nobody needs a 12km range SAM that wont guide and pull any G's what so ever!

Poland's ministry of digital affairs has launched a new service allowing people to check if they have been affected by a large data breach that emerged on Monday.
On Monday night, IT security news service Zaufana Trzecia Strona reported that "Millions of logins and passwords related to Polish online services and accounts of Poles around the world" had been posted to Cebulka, a Polish-language forum accessible via Tor software that facilitates anonymous online communication.
According to Zaufana Trzecia Strona, Monday's data breach is probably "One of the largest single leaks in the history of the Polish Internet," with over six million logins and passwords having been published and over 100,000 individuals being affected.
The majority of data that appeared in the leak are accounts from sites like Facebook, the Polish postal service, and various Polish banking and e-commerce platforms.
In response to the data breach, Cieszyński announced that his ministry had launched a service - available at bezpiecznedane.
The minister explained that the initial problems with the service were due to unprecedented traffic shortly after its launch, during which patches were still being uploaded.

Currently going through the re-mortgage process as my current rate is coming to an end on Friday 30th June. The day of the week is important as the conveyancing team handling the case have told me they can't complete the redemption until the following working day, Monday 3rd July, without incurring an early repayment charge of 3.6k.
My mortgage payments come out on the 1st working day of the month which means I'm stuck having to move onto my existing lenders standard rate to the tune of an extra £700. Spoken to my existing lender to confirm they can't move the product over on the 30th without incurring the early repayment charges and the legal team acting on behalf of my new lenders refuse to do this on Saturday 1st July. It appears I have no choice but to fork out the extra £700.
Was wondering if something similar had happened to anyone else with there mortgage deal ending on a Friday and if there's any way to avoid moving onto my lenders standard rate for a month?
Both parties haven't been particularly understanding of the situation to say the least, the solicitors applied for redemption in May and sent me an invoice for the early repayment charge. I had to ring them to to rectify the situation and explain I wasn't moving until the end of June.
Current lender is Accord and moving to First Direct in case anyone has had any success with these providers.
