2022.12.20 21:48 net_403 [Brad Panovich] Saturday's @Panthers game will likely be the coldest home game in team history. Windchills will be in the teens the whole time and air temps below freezing all day. Be ready & dress for the weather.

2022.09.10 04:08 BlackAndRedBot [Brad Panovich] Due to the weekend rain @BofAstadium will paint both soccer and football lines on the field tonight. Which means @CharlotteFC will have both lines on their field. They hope to remove the soccer lines for @Panthers game tomorrow night. Can't paint in the rain, just remove. #cltwx

2022.04.25 01:50 mantistoboggan287 Starlink pass over at 8:50!

Head outside and look up around 8:50 tonight to see the Starlink satellite chain pass over!
Edit - Per Brad Panovich’s post here’s where to look
“Tonight 4/24/2022 is the night the new #Starlink chain will be visible over the Carolinas. Look Northwest around 8:50pm then they move to the Southeast until about 9:01 pm. This will be a high pass as high as 87°. These look equally cool as they are freaky. #SpaceX #clt”

2022.03.17 00:12 BourbonCoug Standard/Daylight Saving Time and Severe Weather

Brad Panovich from WCNC in Charlotte shared this tweet earlier about if we were to stay on Standard Time (as opposed to permanent Daylight Saving Time) then peak heating would occur an hour earlier.
I was recently thinking about the town of Mayfield, Kentucky that was devastated by the EF-4 back in December and wonder about the loss of life or injuries if we were on permanent DST, and the violent tornado goes through an hour later at 10:26 p.m. CDT.
Just look back at some of the other tornado outbreaks the U.S. southeast has in the past like the Super Tuesday outbreak in 2008, and the outbreak in March 2012, for example. Take all of the times those tornadoes hit and add on another hour.
Thoughts?

2018.09.10 15:06 hashtagdion So, uh, does Brad Panovich and /r/Charlotte owe Charlotte Stories an apology?

I mean, y'all straight up wanted to ban Charlotte Stories just for posting it was possible that Florence could hit the Carolinas this week. And now Florence is hitting the Carolinas this week.
Have y'all learned a lesson about kneejerk pitchforking or have you dreamed up some way that Charlotte Stories is still in the wrong for posting something that was both possible and correct?
