Let me go first 1. Try to have at least 2 kids by 35. 2. Hope to quit job ASAP and start small business, hopefully before I turn 40. Can't keep working for a large corporation forever. 3. Buy an independent house away from the city - Maval/Mulshi - don't want to buy overpriced apartment in the city. There's good electricity and internet supply everywhere. 4. Build a good enough liquid corpus through stocks and MFs.
Note: I'm presently located away from India but want to keep it temporary and come back. The western world is clearly on collapse and India is clearly on rise.
Advise to GenZ/younger
Fall in love at 18 and get married before 25. Our generation mostly waited till late twenties/early thirties and most of us had at least 2/3 relationships before finding the right one - and is one of the most broken generations. Start investing in assets immediately after you start earning. Even buying a house at 9% interest is okay since your salary will be increasing by at least 10% every year.

I live in a building that was just finished construction in 2022 and the entrance to the driveway (between the sidewalk and the road) is unfinished and very bumpy. My wife's car (2016 Elantra) bottoms out if she doesn't enter at the exact right spot.
I asked the building's management if they planned on repairing or finishing it and they said it's the City's responsibility and that I should contact them. I thought it should be up to the building management to contact the City since they own the building but hey, what do i know?
Anyways, I'm wondering how I can put in a request with the City for them to come and pave that area, does anyone know the best way?

Hello :) I am a recent graduate with a B.S. in Biology and I am currently job hunting. I decided my junior year that I didn't want to go into academia/research and I also decided a long time ago that I was not doing any pre-health profession (chemistry kicked my butt and I wanted to cry every day). I have spent the last couple months trying to figure out what to do and I feel lost overall especially given the number of avenues one could go down. I personally believe that you fully rule out something until you try it. I have gone down numerous rabbit holes trying to figure out my next steps.
Through the adventure that was my career exploration I have ruled out a few things. I have been using linked in as a way to reach out and set up informational interviews. If any of you are willing please feel free to PM me. My school's network isn't that strong because most biology, bcmb or chemistry students go into PhD/graduate programs or medical School. We don't have STEM recruiters visit our campus. I decided not to apply to graduate school because there wasn't anything I was passionate about and I didn't want to have more student debt until I knew what I wanted to study. Within my personal network no one is within the same industry, it is all finance or social work.
I completely understand that your first job is just a stepping stone to where you want to be.
What I want from my first job: The main things I am looking is mentorship and the potential for future growth (acquiring skills and experience needed for future roles). Plan: stay for 2 - 3 years.
Teamwork and collaboration is also really important/valuable to me. It's important for people to have respect for others and be mindful. I want to be around people who understand that their actions impact everyone. If they see a tasks that needs to be done, they do it instead of saying that it isn't their problem.
Something that offers variety day-to-day and challenges me.
I am someone who requires structure, good management, and going into a physical office/seeing people face-to-face.
Short term (2 - 5 years from now): Find an area I am passionate about and go to graduate school. Acquire the required experience for supervisory roles such as project or product management. Learn about the business side of the industry. Learn relevant data analytics/computer skills. Pay off current student debt.
Work at a large company that has branches abroad and transfer for a year or two.
Long term career goals: Find strong mentors. End up in a management/leadership position of some kind. Be surrounded by ambitious individuals / high achievers. This is because I believe you are who you surround yourself with and having ambitious friends push you to step out of your comfort zone and be the best you, you can be. Build a strong and reliable network.
Make enough money to afford family vacations abroad and be able to support parents after retirement.
Qualifications:
Academic Experience: ~2 years in undergraduate research (wet) lab: cell culture, PCR, DNA purification, protein stains and westerns. However, I did not actually analyze the data, it was handed off to someone else in the lab. A summer REU in the Public Health realm.
Extra Curriculars: Held several club leadership positions, basic experience with event planning, worked student office jobs throughout college, was an Residential Assistant, studied abroad for a semester.
Careers I don't feel would be the best fit:
Sales: meeting monthly quotas would give me way too much stress and I hate the idea of cold calling with the purpose of selling a product
Working in a lab: the thought of messing up weeks and months of data would give me too much anxiety.
Research Assistant: Not too keen given the jobs is basically reading a ton of research papers which the thought of gives me existential dread.
Teaching: Not for me. I believe it takes a certain individual to be a good teacher and communicator. I am also super awkward around children/adolescences. My biggest fear is that I would teach them the wrong thing and mess up their fundamental understanding or not be engaging enough.
CDC positions: Of the ones I have seen, they all seem to be about HIV. I took a microbiology and immunology class and the topic didn't intrigue me.

- Suggestions for companies with a good reputation, upward mobility and mentorship. One that invest in it's employees.
- How do I figure out if what a company is offering is a good salary?
- Once I get an offer, how do I leverage my experience so I don't get lowballed? I feel like I don't have anything to offer. Additionally, most positions I have seen only pay $30,000 - $40,000 which where I in the city is not livable. (I want to be able to save/start paying off my student debt and not live pay check to pay check)
- How do you find good mentors, especially when you are unsure of what you want to do next?

I've got over 70 hours in HLL and while that's not a lot for these types of games I still believe what I'm about to list are implementations that would fit the game style and improve the gameplay for all players without ruining the "realistic" aspect that so many people want.
P.S. The British artillery has buggy normal/roughness maps, the shells have the wrong textures/UVs and the animation for reloading does not fit the model of the gun (same for the Flaks but less noticeable)

- Improve the building space for defenses. The engineer gets a bunker, barricade and barbed wire for defence yet these barely come in handy because of the limited build space for them and this causes people to build them in flat, highly visible and largely irrelevant places to the defence of an objective. I can't count the amount of times a barricade would've perfectly fit in that street or on that bridge but couldn't be built because of this issue, also dying is often when I need to place down a defence under fire and the damn thing won't go green.
- Show the distance of the enemy that killed you. There's a red ring that loosely points to the direction of the enemy that shot you but it's easily missed and not really a good mechanic. The sound of the gunshots could technically help in some circumstances however in the middle of battle they would just blend in with the rest of the chaos therefore I propose a a number that shows the distance of your killer from you on the death screen, this would in no way give out the exact positions of the enemy and make it unfair for them but would greatly improve information to you and your teammates.
- Give the engineer class supplies. It's quite odd that the one class that needs supplies more than officers doesn't have it on them from the beginning and has to get a supply truck, support or commander to get it for them. Give them a box of 25-50 supplies just like the support class so they're not so naked in the middle of a defence.
- Massively improve the LOD. The lod for this game is quite horrendous with buildings/fences/bushes turning into blurry mush a hundred or so meters from you even on Epic settings. The devs made it so that small rock formations, logs, trees are detailed from afar while the points of interest (ruins on the new El Alamein map) are disgusting with no detail at all, prioritize which object needs more detail and which one doesn't also fix the pop in for the trees because it's really bad and distracting.
- I believe this was discussed by the devs already but add a head movement only mechanic for when you're running across a field or in a city full of alleyways and need to look everywhere without stopping and slowing down.
- Really minor but create new heads for the original German and American level 1 faces as they're really lifeless and look weird next to the newer, higher quality heads.

I’m playing quite a lot of civ 6 lately, but each time I’m catching myself just completely narrowing down my focus unconsciously, rushing towards one goal (conquering a neighbor, finishing a building etc) and completely abandoning my cities and other aspects of the game which eventually causes me falling behind other players. At some point I’m just clicking through the ‘next turn’ button mindlessly and building random shit in my cities only to let me get further. How widespread is this habbit amongst other players? How to get rid of it? And yes, it’s happening with me not only in civ, but in paradox and total war games as well, as a result I just suck at all those despite being a fan of 4x/grand strategy genre. I’m just wondering how many other player has this rushing syndrome and how to get rid of this mindset.

The main city is split in 8 districts each having there own bosses and every district is split by a wall but the most dangerous is at the center also known as "District 9" but lets talk about the game first.
District 1: The district one is the first district and also where u started in the game and its small-medium sized city. The enemy of this district is latchers, car stomper the latcher is about the size of a kid and it latches to your back to get rid of it all u need to do crush it in a wall like crush it between you and the wall. The latcher first is always at the rooftops and if it spots a target it will make its move and try to land on you and latch on you so always becareful around rooftops in district 1. And the car stomper is about the size of a 3 story build and its fused with metal parts it has an engine as a heart and it also has destriyed and dismantled car parts the only way to destroy it is to climb ontop of a rooftop and climb to the back of the car stomper and try to listen where the engine is and stab it and it will fall down. Finally the boss of district 1 Gigantic stomper. The gigantic stomper is a large car stomper and is about the size of a 10 story building and it uses a minigun as its weapon and it also has robot parts and to kill it slice the back of its feet so it falls down and get into the booty hole (sorry bout that) and locate its engine and use a c4 to blow it up u and if its dead u could eather come out of the mouth or go thru the booty again

So I lately I took a break from Elden Ring I created about 10 builds of all kinds, and was on NG+20 with one of my chars. After some weeks without playing Elden Ring I thought about what new build I could create? and looked for uncommon weapons.
There I found it the Venemous Fang. A weapon you can get very early and is not used by many players. I was around level 10 as a fresh hero class when I travelled to the Abandoned Cave in Caelid.
In the cave I just ran past all the enemies and picked up the Venemous Fang.
Surprisingly the weapon is not as bad as expected. It causes poision so you can poision some of the most annoying enemies and then just play defensive and let them die.
Also the weapon staggers some enemies and has strong running attacks.
Later when I get the Black Whetblade from Nokron Eternal City I will infuse the Fang with bleed. So you can cause bleed and poision. Also I plan on getting the blue dancer charm. The fang deals pure physical damage, with a low equip load and the low weight of just 2.5 a ideal weapon for a blue dancer build. The venemous fang can be infused with ashes of war.
As a player that tried all kind of different builds and weapons before this weapon feels fresh again and Elden Ring is great fun, can really recommend playing with it.

Hello, There was one helicopter game that I played as kid and was from early or mid 90's. It was 3D, but did not have textures really. I mean, they were not painted. This is pretty much all I have, other than my character, and am thinking some sort of intrigue plot but I'm down to discuss. Is your girl a powerful patrician or a slave girl? Or something else entirely?
I'm looking for dark and gritty but also fun. I don't really do silly a lot except perhaps in dialogue. I'd like us to be fairly low-powered so we have to clever to accomplish our goals. Intrigue.
I am a multiparagraph, descriptive writer who replies quite a few times a day and am looking for the same in return. If there is an availability difference hit me up and we can talk about it. Not looking for a sidekick who is just kind of there, I'm looking for somebody to create equally with me and there is world building we would need to do. I love my more experienced writers but if you can write send me a sample and we can talk about it. I'm okay with 3rd or 1st person.
